Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. As a Dental Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality dental services. This is a full-time position that offers opportunities for professional growth and development. Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment - Set up treatment rooms for various dental procedures - Take and develop dental x-rays as instructed by the dentist - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during examinations and treatments - Maintain accurate patient records and update patient information as necessary - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care - Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns - Manage inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed - Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment Requirements: -Proven experience as a Dental Nurse or similar role - Valid nursing license or certification - Excellent patient care skills with the ability to provide compassionate support to patients - Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently - Proficiency in using dental software, electronic health records, and other IT systems - Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English Job Type: Full-time Pay: £11.00-£12.00 per hour Benefits: Free parking On-site parking Transport links Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (preferred) Dental Nursing: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: Valid GDC registration (preferred) Work Location: In person
