Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified or Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about patient care and looking to develop their skills within a supportive environment. The position is paid and suitable for both experienced nurses and those training or wishing to qualify, providing valuable hands-on experience in a busy dental setting. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering high-quality dental care while ensuring patients feel comfortable and well-informed throughout their visit.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilise instruments, and ensure all equipment is maintained to high standards
  • Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, answering any questions they may have
  • Record patient details accurately in accordance with data protection regulations
  • Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and maintaining patient records
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the practice
  • Promote a welcoming environment by demonstrating excellent communication skills and professionalism at all times


Skills

  • Strong patient care skills with a friendly and empathetic approach
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with patients and team members
  • Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment systems
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with patients, colleagues, and external professionals
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • For trainees: willingness to learn and develop clinical skills under supervision; for qualified nurses: proven experience in dental nursing or related healthcare fields

Pay: £11,154.00-£12,441.00 per year
